"Excellent versatile camera with lots of features: This is a great versatile camera. I have a 4 year old 32 Channel NVR that uses the onvif Protocol and 1080P resolution. Several of my original cameras died of old age and that I was using indoor cameras outside. I have tried many replacements but couldn't find a compatible replacement. I saw this model on sale and decided to try it.The setup was very easy through the TAPO app and I was able to use the Advanced setup to create a camera account and password. I was also able to change the resolution to 1080P. My NVR was able to detect the camera and the required port (2020). It connected with no issue. The picture is great even in low light conditions. There are multiple mounting options and the hardware is included. I can access the camera through both the app and my NVR. The motion detector works great even at 35-40 feet. The zoom feature works great through the app. Security is good but degraded slightly because of the local account created for my NVR. The only negative I have found is that the camera's time is off by 20 minutes. I like it so wel;l, that I have purchased a second one."

I live in the Southern United States so it gets in the triple digits here and the camera has held up to the heat and the violent thunderstorms we experience seasonally. The solar panel on the top and the battery in the camera are working well in tandem as the camera works 24-7 and hasn't died on me yet. The picture is very clear and in color. It connected easily to my Wi-Fi and was very easy to install. (I will say that you need to know how to turn on your 2.4 signal if you have fiberoptic before you are ready to install the camera. You can contact your ISP and they will tell you how to do it if you don't know.) The microphone and the speakers work very well. It has an app you can download on your phone. "Clear picture and easy to setup and use.: I purchased the four pack S1 cameras There are instructions on how to set up the camera on your network included. I selected the camera type in the Wansview app for the battery S1. To set up the camera, I used the scan method to connect the camera to my network. It was easy. Just hold your smartphone up to the app and scan the QR code, then listen to the audio prompts from the camera as it tells you what's going on, then continue to follow instructions in the app. I put my own 128 gig memory SD card into the camera(s). The phone app can review live video or stored video using your phone app as well as on the SD card. I recommend getting a SD card. Also, if you want to view the cameras live on your computer you can use the pc app, Amazon show, or Fire TV. You can easily integrate with Alexa to do this. I use my Alexa fire TV to view the cameras on my big TV at any time. I mounted my cameras using the hardware provided and even a template to mount the base of the camera. I made sure they are getting sunlight as they are solar-powered. I do not need to use the charging cords once they are mounted. My cameras charge up using the sun each day to 100%, as you can check battery status in the smartphone app. There are several really nice features. You can have the spotlight turn on when motion is detected at night. You have the ability to hear what's going on as well as talk to whatever is near the camera. I like that you can go back and review what was recorded by date and time. You need to use the cloud service for the ability to save and recall the capture online. Or for free, put a sd card into each camera 128Gb max. You get notifications as well as 15 seconds of motion captured for free no matter what if you want even without the SD card. "Good Cameras for the Price, But Play with the Settings!: Let me start with the price...with the deal for all four cameras, you absolutely CANNOT beat it. Functional positives: Camera setup is easy, mounting can be done without too much trouble (use longer and stronger screws if you got 'em), and if they spend at least four hours a day in direct sunlight, they will charge up and maintain that charge for days. I bought the SanDisk outdoor trail cam SD cards (in a four pack) to go inside just because this is Texas, lol. These cameras LOOK high quality and serve as a good visual deterrent to potential troublemakers. The images they produce are a hair above decent, but you will lose a lot of detail while zooming in on faces, license plates, etc., even though the zoom range is outstanding. The only real downside of the cameras is that you have to adjust the settings for each position specifically for that camera. Under the motion detection setting there are three preset modes to choose from but you will have to use the custom mode or else you'll be getting alerts for every car that passes by. I did have one camera that stopped functioning and when I took it down, found water inside. Because the seller sent several follow-up emails (you enter your email when you register on the app), I was able to contact customer support quickly without going through the Amazon return process. I got a response from ROXIE within a few hours and they shipped out a new camera ASAP. Fine work there. Would recommend this product."

I’m going to paraphrase the manufacturing instructions. Download the app before doing anything with the camera. Supply power to the camera and wait a few seconds until the blue light blinks. I purchased the 3K camera and the multipack of 4, 2K cameras to keep an eye on my dog will I'm away from home. I'm able to save my favorite camera positions and return to them with a simple tap. If you want to be able to see playbacks for longer periods, a subscription is required then. Overall, I have had a good experience. I wish that the camera lens closed itself or the camera panned backwards/up when I turn the camera off. The lens is always exposed even when it's off. Cameras work well, and image is decent, but not "license-plate-clear" past maybe 30 feet in low light. - App seems nice and easy to use also. - Love the "no subscription required" event recording feature, and the remote live "PTZ" viewing. - Unpowered battery life seems to be a couple/few days, which is decent. - Cameras can run on Solar or USB C power (adapters not provided, only the cables). Cons: - Re: motion sensing - be sure to set each camera's "Default View" so it can "see 'em coming a mile away", because the camera has a 1-2 second delay between "sensing" and "acting", meaning if one can run fast enough to beat that delay, the camera might miss him. - "360° panning" is true, BUT be aware that when the camera hits "360°", it stops tracking and moving, until the object in question returns to view. If not, camera resets to its default position in 30 seconds. This means that camera placement must accommodate that weakness. "Color Night Vision" means a LIGHT comes on, triggering the sensor to revert camera to color. It looks great, but if you don't want a bright light coming on, then black-and-white night vision is all you get. - Re: Subscription fees... Aosu sort of "hides" info about subscription plans until you actually get the app, sign in, and look at the deals, which is a bit shady. Also, it's pricey if you opt for a "Plus" subcription, which goes up in price with EACH camera. A 5-cam subscription is like $280 per year. - I bought a four-camera system, but they only offer a three- or a five-camera subscription. So they've either got you buying not enough or too much in some cases. Also, in order to control five cameras on the app, you need to buy ANOTHER Homebase, because each one apparently only accommodates four cameras unless you but the big 6-camera package with a bigger Homebase. - ALSO, not all cameras go with all base srstions BE CAREFUL when buying, if you plan to add stuff later - be sure everything is compatible. VERY confusing. So this is all kind of scrambled, perhaps on purpose to make you spend more money, which is obnoxious. Definitely not the cheapest service, but it does open up some cool features, if you got the money. Overall, a good system, but they're sneaky with the pricing, and there a few "buggers" to be accommodated in your settings/placement. Experimentation is in order. Took me 4 hours to settle on 4 good places/settings for the cameras, as the only way to know if the placement is good, is to install it and then find out. Very hard to hold the camera and test placement. Bottom line, it's a good system and app, BUT be aware of these weaknesses and check subscription pricing and component cross-compatibility before buying."
